Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms
Pasture (the “Service”) is provided by GOTOPASTURE LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “Pasture”). By creating an account — which requires you to accept these Terms — or by otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Pasture is — and is not
Pasture is an educational retirement-planning and modeling tool. It lets you enter your own assumptions and shows hypothetical projections, comparisons, and optimizations based on those inputs. It is a self-directed calculator and information resource — not a financial product, a brokerage, or an advisory service.
3. Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
The Service, and all outputs it generates — including projections, the Roth-conversion optimizer, comparisons, success rates, and any figures, charts, or narrative explanations — are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not financial, investment, tax, accounting, retirement, insurance, or legal advice, and are not a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security or to adopt any investment or tax strategy.
Pasture does not know your full financial circumstances and does not tailor advice to them. Outputs describe how a model behaves under the assumptions you provide; they do not tell you what you should do. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified, licensed professional (such as a financial advisor, CPA, or attorney) before acting.
4. Projections are hypothetical
All results are hypothetical illustrations generated from the inputs you enter and from modeling assumptions (including assumed returns, inflation, tax rules, and longevity) that are simplified and may not reflect actual future conditions. Tax laws and contribution, RMD, IRMAA, and benefit rules change and may be modeled approximately. Past performance and modeled results do not guarantee future outcomes, and your actual results will differ, possibly materially. Pasture does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any output.
5. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including by attempting to access it in an unauthorized way, interfering with its operation, scraping or overloading it, reverse-engineering it, or using it to violate any law or another party's rights.
7. Your data and privacy
The financial and personal information you enter is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you consent to that handling. Where applicable, we honor the rights afforded by privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and the models and methods behind its calculations, is owned by GOTOPASTURE LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial planning. Open-source components are used under their own licenses; see our Attributions page.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers to operate — including cloud hosting, email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe). We are not responsible for third-party services and their availability or accuracy, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result or projection will be achieved.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pasture and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or investment losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or reliance on its outputs. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold GOTOPASTURE LLC harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Changes to the service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
