Privacy Policy

Your plan data stays yours. Pasture stores the numbers you enter so you can return to your plans. We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not connect to your bank or brokerage accounts. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Scope

This policy explains how GOTOPASTURE LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Pasture,” “we”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service. It works alongside our Terms of Use.

2. Information we collect

Account information you provide — first name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Planning inputs — the financial details you enter to build scenarios (ages, savings balances, income, Social Security, spending, tax assumptions, etc.).
Usage and device data — basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps in our server logs.
Analytics — page views, the page that referred you, your browser, operating system, and device type, and an approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from your IP address. See Section 9 for how this works.
Acceptance records — the date and version of the Terms of Use you accepted at sign-up.

3. Your financial inputs

The numbers you enter are used to generate your projections and are stored with your account so you can return to your plans. We treat this information as sensitive. We do not connect to your bank or brokerage accounts, and we do not need your account numbers or government identifiers to run a projection. Your financial inputs are used only to provide the Service to you — we do not sell them and we do not use them for advertising.

4. How we use information

To provide the Service — run projections, save and display your plans, and operate your account.
To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
To communicate with you about your account (e.g. email verification and password resets).
To comply with legal obligations.

We send account and security emails required to operate your account. We do not send third-party marketing, and we do not sell or rent your information.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service — cloud hosting, email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe) — under contracts that limit their use of it, and where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and plan data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your saved plans and associated personal information within 30 days, except for limited records we must retain to comply with legal, security, or accounting obligations.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and encryption of your saved plan data at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your account information, delete your saved plans, and request deletion of your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]; we will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. Cookies, local storage, and analytics

Pasture uses essential cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your inputs and preferences. These are required for the Service to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

To understand how the site is used, we run Umami, an open-source analytics tool, on our own servers. No third-party analytics company receives your data: the tracking script is served from our domain and the measurements stay on our infrastructure. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across other websites. It records the information listed under Section 2 — including an approximate location that is derived from your IP address using a local geolocation database, which resolves to roughly a city and is not your precise position.

A few things on our pages come from outside providers rather than our own servers: typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) on every page, and, in the planner, a charting library and — when you export a PDF — the libraries that build it, from cdnjs, a public library host run by Cloudflare. The site as a whole is also delivered through Cloudflare's network. Loading these sends the provider what any web request carries — your IP address, your browser, and the address of the page — and each handles it under its own privacy policy. None of them receives anything you enter into a plan.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Pasture is operated in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by notifying you by email or an in-app notice.
